This morning we went to the border between Slovakia and Austria where there are points to make the GO-Box, the system for paying road taxes in Austria and the point MYTO to make the Slovak electronic toll collection.
GO-Box is the road toll system came into force in Austria since 1 January 2004 that operates similarly to our Telepass. All vehicles with a maximum authorized weight of over 3.5 t must be fitted with GO-Box.
MYTO is instead the new electronic toll system in force in the Slovak Republic from 1 January 2010. The toll is deducted fully electronically through an On Board Unit (OBU). Again to vehicles or combinations of vehicles with a gross weight of 3.5 t you are required to pay toll.
All to make sure that the vehicles registered a few days ago, are equipped with electronic toll systems to pay road taxes. The means are ready to move.
